My style of art is primitive, elemental. If there is any analogy in science, it would be "string theory" in physics. I'm interested in expressing how the threads and veins of life create and entwine us all, plant and animal.
I think of my art style as elfinesque and even gremlinesque. I believe in expressing very complex subjects in very simple, playful and even mischievous ways.

Jo's Gremlins MovieWorld Work |

In 1991 and 1992 I worked at Sally Animatronics in Brookvale Sydney on the animated models for MovieWorld's Gremlins. Gremlins was produced by Warner Brothers Studios.
Every Gremlin was individually designed and hand-painted. Each one was unique in its body shape and personality. Every gremlin creates a unique brand of malevolent chaos.
