In 1991 and 1992 I worked at Sally Animatronics in Brookvale Sydney Australia where I assisted in creating the animated models for Movie World on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia. The movie Gremlins was produced by Warner Brothers.
A pack of dastardly gremlins dob in their creator.
Gremlins have boundless energy. Watch them at all times. Sometimes you have to grab them by the scruff of their necks.
Here a gremlin sits patiently in the Sally Animatronics warehouse as I paint its scaly skin.
Each gremlin was crafted meticulously. I'm applying the finishing touches to a masterpiece of malevolent mischief.
A finished gremlin. Never underestimate gremlins. This one appears placid, even calm while plotting its next ruinous act. Gremlins have no sympathy for the results of their mischief. Quite the contrary, they relish playing any part they can in human misfortune.
Every Gremlin is unique with its own body shape, skins colours, and personality. Each one has a unique style of destruction.
Gremlins like smashing everything they come into contact with: objects, machines, and especially relationships. They thrive on chaos.
Watch out for any humans who've unwittingly come into contact with gremlins and adopted their characteristics.
